Jimidene Murphey fell in love with teaching as a graduate assistant and has been teaching for over 20 years. She earned her B.B.A and M.B.A. in marketing and management from Tarleton State University. Wanting a second teaching field, she completed her M.A. in composition/rhetoric and technical writing at Texas Tech University. She has taught at South Plains College, Clarendon College, Victoria College, and WCJC. To keep abreast of current pedagogy, she has prepared over 32 ancillaries for English and business textbooks and was a part of a grant to bring online student services to rural colleges. Recently she participated in a collaborative writing project with Rice University composing middle school reading and writing curriculum, which has been adopted by the State of Texas. She has been teaching online classes for twelve years and dual credit for six.
